ABDOMINOPLASTY (ABDEROPLASTY) stands for a surgical operation used to reduce excessive subcutaneous tissue from the lower belly by a long incision above the pubic hair line. If the amount of the excessive tissue is substantial, the naval needs to be repositioned, otherwise not.

For women who had multiple births, the stretched mid-abdomen muscles have to be set closer (approximation) and thus regain the previous belly look or even make it look better. Liposuction can be added to the procedure if necessary or required.

The problem can trouble but also be solved for both men and women.

ABDOMINOPLASTY POST-TREATMENT

In case of minor procedure no special complications are expected.

In case of more substantial surgery on both skin and subcutaneous tissue, navel repositioning and muscle approximation it is real to expect bruising and healing of the wound. In this case 7 – 14 days of resting and home care should be called for. Physical activities and lifting heavy objects must be avoided for a month following the procedure.

The surgeon’s instructions need to be strictly followed.
