HYALURONIC ACID PREPARATIONS (HA)
There are several types of dermal fillers. Some are permanent and others temporary, dissolvable. We do not use permanent fillers as they might cause permanent problems. Among dissolvable substances most favourable are those using hyaluronic acid, which is the natural component of skin tissue (Restylane, Juvederm, etc.).
n.b. We wish to inform potential patients that there is a great number of products which are of lesser quality, made by unknown producers so one should seriously consider your options, especially if the costs are your main concern.
The substance is injected with sharp needles under each line/wrinkle, so it is filled and lifted. The effect is immediate. Most of the substances we use, contain local anaesthetic so the procedure is painless.
WHO IS IT FOR?
As opposed to Botox which works differently and can be applied at the upper third of the face, fillers can be applied all over the face and the effect is immediate. We can add the volume to the tissue, where it is reduced through the aging process. All lines and wrinkles, e. g. horizontal forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, around mouth (nasolabial lines, marionette lines etc.) and so on, react beautifully to the injected substances.
FILLERS POST-TREATMENT
The patient can return home or to work after the procedure. Except for slight bruises and/or swelling no complications are expected. The procedure needs to be repeated after 6 – 12 – 24 months.
FILLERS NOTE
Whether the patient is eligible for the procedure or if there are any risks could be assessed only after a check-up. Lesser complications which are of no consequence on the result, are rare. Serious complications are unusual.
